Yields warranties and firmware

Fit maintenance parts at the rated interval rather than when the machine stops. A fuser that fails mid life takes a service call and a day of downtime with it, and on a busy machine that costs far more than the part. Compatible and remanufactured cartridges do not void your printer warranty in the UK. Under the Consumer Rights Act a manufacturer cannot refuse a warranty repair simply because you used a third party consumable; they would have to show that the consumable caused the fault. If a cartridge from us does damage a printer we will pay for the repair, and we say that in writing. Remanufacturing a cartridge uses a fraction of the material and energy of making a new one, so please pass your empties to a cartridge recycling scheme rather than putting them in landfill.

Which option to buy

Genuine is the manufacturer's own cartridge in its own box. The safe choice for a machine under warranty or on a lease, and the dearest per page. OEM Equivalent is a new compatible cartridge built to the same specification by an independent maker, never refilled, typically 45 to 60 per cent cheaper per page. We sell genuine, new compatible and remanufactured consumables side by side and publish the page yield and the cost per page for each one, so the comparison is on the number that actually decides the bill. Nothing here is a refill kit and nothing is sold without a yield figure.
